Registered in April 1965, this 2286cc petrol Land Rover Series II 88in (short wheelbase) is being sold for restoration. The vendor describes the engine and gearbox as always having been perfect, but the chassis and bulkhead aren't. It's been sat for several years awaiting a restoration (albeit in dry storage) and at present the brakes and clutch have no pressure, but the vendor now has too many cars and is concentrating on a Range Rover LSE restoration. It's had several modifications (all reversible) and is currently roughly painted in Hammerite Green. The vendor describes driving it as a hoot and will come with its original 81 BWF registration. The Land Rover has done the Goodwood Revival many times, often towing a 1965 Royale Caravan; on one occasion Christian Horner, the current (somewhat beleaguered) team principal of the Red Bull Formula 1 team joined a picnic with it after the E-type he was racing at the event retired just where it was parked. The only documentation with the Land Rover is its V5C.
